The Codfather seeks to maintain a high standard at all times. There are ten fish and chip shops within a 3 mile radius of The Codfather which means our product must always be of the highest quality. We take great care in sourcing our ingredients from suppliers who can be relied on for excellent quality and consistency to deliver top quality.
Our Fish
We only use Scottish wild fish, not farmed, from sustainable fishing grounds. The fish is grade A fresh from Richardson's Fish Supplies with full traceability.
Our chips
We only use fresh Maris Piper Lincolnshire's potatoes, supplied by Vic Graham of Bury, and we fry in pure vegetable oil at 190 degrees to seal the flavour fast and reduce oil absorption, giving you a crisp golden chip.
Our service
We fry our fish and chips to order except at peak times so that you enjoy the best possible product. It takes a little longer but we think it is worth the wait.
Our batter
We take pride in every aspect of our fish & chips. The recipe for our batter is a closely kept secret. It contains no artificial colours or flavourings.
